Job Description
The Urban + Planning group of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office.
This position can also be worked from a remote location.
The Project Manager will lead or serve on multi-disciplinary planning projects for mainly military installations and federal agencies .
As the lead of the project team, the project manager will develop creative and innovative solutions to address the Federal Government's issues.
The project manager will:
+ Be responsible for all project tasks included in the task order including schedule, data collection and analysis, workshop preparation, meeting facilitation, concept development, report writing and layout, graphics development, etc.
+ Coordinate project resources and staffing and task management
+ Manage client's communications, expectations and requests consistently
+ Communicate effectively with project team and provide clear guidance
+ Ensure quality of reports and documents developed meets guidelines
+ Mentor staff to assist in their professional growth
+ Assist with preparation of proposals for planning projects
+ Contribute to client relationships and business development efforts
+ Introduce innovative ideas or processes to streamline project efforts
+ Demonstrates fiscal responsibility with projects and assignments
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning plus four (4) year s of experience
+ Due to the nature of the work U.S. citizenship is required
+ Must have project management skills and experience managing a project team
+ Professional public speaking, presentation, and facilitation experience
+ Experienced working independently as well as leading multi-disciplinary teams
+ Experienced in developing creative and innovative graphics and project layouts
+ Experienced with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite and, Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree in urban and regional planning or related field
+ Experience with Sketchup Pro or other 3D software applications
+ AICP certification U(or certification track) preferred
+ LEED certification (or certification track) preferred
+ GISP certification (or certification track) preferred
+ Knowledge of military planning or military experience a plus
+ Excellent communication skills with clients and project teams
+ Positive outlook and can-do attitude approach to projects and teamwork
+ Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities
+ Efficient and organized planner with an attention for detail
+ Flexible to adapt to evolving project requirements and client requests

_Offered rate of compensation (Washington, D.C. locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000._
