The Role Reporting to the Chief Financial and Business Officer, the Vice President, Finance will be responsible for providing overall strategy and leadership for all financial and accounting activities while ensuring compliance. This role will work closely with the executive team, providing financial insights, driving budgetary decisions, and supporting strategic initiatives to ensure THRD's long-term success. The Vice President, Finance should facilitate best practices in financial processes that support all company activities with an eye towards efficiencies and optimization.
Responsibilities Provide leadership to the accounting, SEC reporting, tax and procurement functions, including operating systems, policies, controls and reporting practicesOversee efforts to prepare for future SOX 404b testingDevelop strategy for financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making and drive business growthMaintain strong relationships with internal and external business leaders to advise the senior management team on financial matters related to the businessOversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance and transparency in financial statements and disclosures; provide the big-picture view for leadership and drive competing prioritiesProvide development, oversight, and management of the organization's cash and investment strategyMonitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to maintain financial stability and support business operationsOversee enterprise-wide contract management processTranslate enterprise strategy and cross-functional objectives to timing and delivery of finance initiativesProvide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to leadership, identifying risks and opportunities to drive business successStay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting, proactively adapting strategies, systems and policies as neededRepresent the Finance department and support cross-functional initiatives and communicationsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferredProven experience in a senior finance role, preferably 20 years of experience, with at least 8 years at a high-growth, publicly traded biopharmaceutical companyStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teamsIn-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and standards, with a track record of ensuring compliance and accuracyStrategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of driving initiatives to achieve business objectivesEffective communicator with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholdersThe base salary range for this role is: $285,000-$325,000
