We are headquartered in Seattle, WA The Job We're seeking an experienced, business-minded attorney to become our first in-house counsel. In this role, you'll handle a broad spectrum of legal matters across the organization, including commercial transactions, business development, corporate law, insurance, and stock plan administration. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to diverse legal challenges while contributing to strategic initiatives as we scale. Reporting to the CEO and as a key advisor to the executive team, you'll contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure legal alignment with business objectives, helping Omnidian scale effectively and sustainably. \n What You'll DoAt Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you'll be doing:Legal Leadership and Strategic Guidance Handle a broad range of commercial and transactional matters, serving as an escalation point for issue resolution and improving contract templates and playbooks.Work cross-functionally to support Omnidian's initiatives on a wide variety of commercial transactions related to the business operations.Provide legal and strategic guidance to assess and mitigate legal risk by building a deep understanding of the business and collaborate with internal clients to support their goals.Contract Management and Compliance Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and transactional contracts, including customer contracts, business development arrangements, and vendor agreements such as master service agreements, vendor service agreements and other purchase agreements.Support compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property strategy as the company scales and expands into new markets. Who You AreYou are a strategic thinker with excellent judgment and a demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and enjoys taking ownership of complex projects.You are an exceptional communicator who can translate complex legal concepts into practical, actionable advice for business leaders.You are eager to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas of law Experience You'll NeedJ.D. degree with solid academic credentials and a state bar membership4+ years of experience in a top-tier law firm and/or an in-house legal dept Proven experience in handling complex commercial transactions in fast-growing industries.
