Position Summary:

Reporting to the COO – North America, the Vice President of Sales is a visionary leader with responsibility to drive significant growth in the US market for product and service sales. The VP of Sales will define and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to gain market share, break into new strategic accounts, and implement a collaborative cross-selling salesforce structure. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire the sales and service organizations to reach beyond the status quo, assert a customer-centric and innovative spirit, prepare compelling data-driven proposals to meet customer demands and thoughtfully assess US-market economic and business opportunity conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Service Strategy Development & Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive sales and service strategies to achieve significant growth in the US market. Using data-driven methods, define and execute a go-to-market plan including product portfolio and pricing competitiveness.

Ensure alignment of the service function with overall business objectives, enabling the delivery of high-quality customer support and after-sale service solutions.

Identify and target new markets and strategic accounts to expand Kistler's market presence within key industry focus areas, such as life sciences, aerospace & defense, automotive and NEV.

Reimagine a salesforce and process infrastructure rooted in collaboration and cross-selling to optimize resources in partnership with the Head of Sales Excellence for Kistler Group.

Relay customer demands and needs to the product development teams to influence a localized product mix and innovation pipeline.

Constantly monitor the market to understand trends, competitive environment and opportunities for growth using findings to continuously adjust strategic initiatives.

Establish strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, ensuring an elite customer experience throughout the sales and service cycles, building loyalty with a focus on capturing and acting upon developments in customer feedback.

Organizational Leadership & Performance Management:

Set fair, aggressive sales and service targets and KPIs aligned with top line growth and profitability.

Provide oversight to the service team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement using customer insights and trends.

Create an accountability-driven environment where performance achievement is recognized and celebrated.

Monitor and analyze performance, providing regular reports and insights to the COO and Group-level leadership.

Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies with an emphasis on focus and simplicity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in sensor or measurement technology, industrial automation, or a related industry.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that drive significant revenue growth.

Proven competencies as an inspirational leader and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Domestic and international travel up to 50%.
