The successful candidate will be at the forefront of driving digital transformation within these sectors, with a focus on federal, state, local, education, aerospace, defense, and other regulated industries.
This leadership role involves overseeing a sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering deep partnerships with functional business leaders.
The VP of Sales will be responsible for the team's success, including monitoring the sales pipeline, providing coaching, and ensuring adherence to processes.
A key aspect of the role is the ability to manage and grow the team, as well as to be a resource for closing deals and troubleshooting issues.
To excel in this position, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive SaaS sales experience in the public sector, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
The role requires a proven track record in sales, the ability to manage processes for new business, and experience in negotiating and closing large contracts.
The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with top public sector partners, be adept at leveraging contract vehicles, and have a history of exceeding sales quotas.
A strong executive presence, curiosity, and the ability to build and manage a diverse team are essential.
Experience in shaping requirements for government RFPs and generating demand for new technology within the public sector market is also a key requirement.
