Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks a Vice President, Risk Managementin New York, New York
Responsible for a cross risk strategic initiative to streamline stress testing processes across risk stripes and regions. Set and execute strategic plans to align and create efficiencies in capital and business as usual stress testing processes. Work closely with Market Risk, Credit Risk, Portfolio Risk, Risk Analytics, Finance and IT in the U.S., EMEA, and Asia on their stress testing plans to understand global impact and alignment efforts. Conduct monthly working groups with senior management stakeholders to set priorities, track alignment efforts, project plans, metrics, risks and issues. Responsible for the development and execution of the cross risk automated tool utilized for stress loss review, analysis, and reporting. Ensure alignment with regulatory exams, internal audit, and independent reviews. Develop stress testing related policies, procedures, and other related documentation and coordinate with other key input processes such as risk identification and scenario design. Incorporate perspectives from best practices and stakeholders, not limited to regulator feedback, internal audit feedback, and independent reviewers.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Management of Risk, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an Associate, Senior Consultant, Manager, or related occupation in the risk management field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: stress testing and risk management within operational risk; analyzing cross-risk data using Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables; monitoring risk issues; Microsoft PowerPoint dashboard and reports; project management including global coordination; andMicrosoft Project. Requires four (4) years of experience with: stress testing and risk management within market risk and credit risk; and workflow documentation including Microsoft Visio. Requires three (3) years of experience with: monitoring risk breaches; risk and control matrix; and executing PowerBI dashboards for reporting and automation of databases.
Expected base pay rate for the role will be $176,500 to $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
