The VP, Talent, Learning and Development will be responsible for leading and executing the strategic vision for our talent management and learning and development functions. The role's primary focus will be to establish and manage an efficient and effective learning ecosystem to support the continuous development of our workforce, including clinical teams. The VP Talent, Learning and Development will oversee Honest's talent management processes and will be a key leader responsible for shaping our clinical learning, professional learning, leader development, and content development to ensure the delivery of top-notch educational programs and resources to the right team members at the right time.
Primary Functions of the VP Talent, Learning and Development Include: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy that aligns with organizational goals. Design and implement learning and development programs that enhance team members growth, engagement and retention. Design and oversee professional development initiatives that cater to the ongoing learning needs of healthcare professionals, including continuous medical education (CME) opportunities. Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure the organization has a pipeline of qualified candidates for key leadership and critical roles. Design and oversee comprehensive onboarding programs tailored to both clinical and professional roles, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and alignment with organizational culture and expectations. Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes. Oversee the development and execution of performance management processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and team member development. Implement coaching and feedback mechanisms that foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and that enhance team member performance and professional growth. Integrate DEI principles into talent management strategies, ensuring that programs are inclusive and equitable across all levels of the organization. Design and implement leadership development programs that prepare emerging leaders for future roles, including mentoring, coaching, and targeted training. Leverage data analytics to identify trends, measure the impact of talent initiatives, and inform strategic decisions. Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and diversity within the organization. Champion team member engagement initiatives and assess their impact on retention and productivity. Manage the budget for talent and learning development initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging practices and advancements in healthcare to enhance the professional development curriculum. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department leaders, to understand talent needs and align programs accordingly. Effectively communicate talent management strategies and initiatives to all levels of the organization. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's Degree and/or relevant certifications (S/PHR, SRHM-SCP) preferred 10+ years of experience in learning and development, particularly within the healthcare or medical education sector with increasing responsibility and oversight of strategy 5+ years of experience leading others, including the indirect leading of peers and cross-functional partners through influence and trust Proven experience in a senior talent management or learning and development role, with a track record of success Strong understanding of talent management frameworks, learning methodologies, and performance management systems, as well as the ability to apply that understanding to evolving strategies and programs Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decision-making Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace In-depth knowledge of clinical practices and the needs of healthcare practitioners Proven track record of designing and implementing successful clinical education and training programs Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams Excellent communication and presentation abilities to engage with stakeholders at all levels Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and e-learning technologies Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards related to training and education The base pay range for this role is $179,500 - $219,800. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
