Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Job SummaryAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair of all equipment within the building and all building maintenance functions in a safe and efficient manner. Job DescriptionExperience Required: 3 to 5 yearsEducation Desired: High school diploma or equivalentLifting Requirement: Up to 50 poundsJob ResponsibilitiesRepair and perform preventive maintenance on machinery. Use mechanical and electrical equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes and ammonia refrigeration systems. Visually inspect and test machinery and powered equipment using electronic testing equipment and hand tools. Listen and observe operation of machines and equipment to detect malfunctions and diagnose problems. Install, program and repair automated machinery and equipment. Design and fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools, improving existing efficiencies. Maintain and repair distribution center building and grounds using hand and power tools, hoists and cranes. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other machine parts using pressure washer, brushes, grease gun and gear lubricant dispenser. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment. Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Assemble, install and maintain pipe system and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Maintain a safe, clean work area. Ability to read and understand blueprints, wire schematics and technical manuals. Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed with regard to preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment. Attain at least a B+ grade and perform work on ammonia system. Maintain current HAZMAT training and resp. fit testing. Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned.
