Job Description
The Warehouse Lead will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure efficient operations within the warehouse. The primary responsibilities include overseeing timely receipts and shipments, maintaining inventory transaction controls, providing training and development for new hires, facilitating the rollout of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring safety and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), promoting professionalism, and maintaining high levels of accuracy in picking, shipping, and receiving processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate support teams and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments
Transact shipments and receipts in Business Central and JIT support systems in real-time
Assist in the implementation and smooth operation of Warehouse Management Systems, providing feedback and troubleshooting as needed
Ensure support teams follow inventory transaction processes to optimize accuracy and minimize discrepancies
Report variances and errors to supervisor and inventory control teams
Assist in tracing and correcting inventory discrepancies
Enforce safety guidelines and Food Safety standards to create a secure and compliant working environment
Monitor and improve pick accuracy, shipment accuracy, and receipt accuracy through KPI's and continuous improvement initiatives
Train and mentor new warehouse team members, ensuring they adhere to best practices and safety protocols

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in warehouse operations or a related field preferred. Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
Highly skilled on Standup Forklift and Electric Pallet jack
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
Working conditions
Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 34-38 degrees Fahrenheit
Work between two warehouses and around moving equipment
Physical requirements
Ability to continuously lift objects up to 50 lbs. required
Be able to sit, walk, bend, push and pull
