Responsible for overseeing the warming houses located at outdoor skating rinks.
This includes but not limited to opening and closing warming house, recording attendance, maintaining the facility, monitor changing winter weather conditions and providing excellent customer service.
Ensuring the safety of customers using the outdoor skating rinks Unlock/lock and turn on/off lights in warming house according to schedule Maintain the interior and exterior of the facility including picking up trash, sweeping the floor, inspecting/checking restroom and portable toilets daily, and reporting any maintenance issues to the Warming House Supervisor or Recreation Supervisor Assist the Recreation Supervisor in keeping the facility and safety equipment in good working order Assist young children with skates Manage conduct of skaters and enforce safety rules Make decisions to close warming houses if weather changes after opening the warming house Count and record the number of people skating on outdoor rinks Shovel rinks when light snowfall has occurred Remove hockey nets from rink at the close of the day Respond to emergencies as needed Display a positive attitude, be courteous and reliable Coninally update knowledge and skills at in-services offered
