As the Welder you would be working with steel materials for the production of railroad tracks and crossings in a production shop environment. Duties/Responsibilities Retrieve materials assembled and weld into a finished product. Setup components for welding according to specifications. (i.e. cut material with saw to match measurements). Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. Operating MIG welding equipment. Pass internal welding certification in conjunction with requirements under ISO, AAR, and other regulatory agencies. Pay and Shift info Base pay of $17/hour. 1 st shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. 2 nd shift 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with $1.50 shift differential, must be available to train on 1 st shift for 2-4 weeks. Should be available to work OT as needed. Temp to Hire opportunity with the company. Skills/Qualifications Prior MIG and flux core welding experience or certification needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently. Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring devices. High School Diploma or GED. Will be subject to pre-employment screening.
