About this Role: Provide technical sales support for all services sold by Windstream's Carrier Network Solutions team.
What You'll Do: Aid in the development of network solutions for Carrier Network customers to include analyzing customer needs, providing technical support on RFPs/RFIs and presenting solutions to customers.Identify technical issues involving network design, topology, access, POP locations and maps.Assist with solutions involving fiber builds.Serve as technical liaison between Carrier Network Solutions team and Windstream internal support groups (ICSC, Network Planning and Engineering, Service Delivery, Network Operations, Pricing, Product Development and Legal).Coordinate network interconnection with Carrier Network customers by interfacing with Windstream network planning and engineering personnel.Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of Windstream network, products and services and relevant related industry communication technologies.Do You Have: Skilled in use of basic and advanced computer software including Microsoft Office and Visio.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong understanding of DWDM, SONET and Ethernet technologies and application.Ability to work with limited supervision and guidance.Background in network planning and engineering, data planning and engineering or sales engineering.Minimum Requirements: College degree in Engineering or a related field and 5-7 years professional level experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience; or 9+ years professional level related Engineering/Technical experience with 0-2 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Engineering/Technical experience required.Our Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Plans401K PlanHealth & Flexible Savings AccountLife and AD&D, Spousal Life, Child Life Insurance PlansEducational Assistance PlanIdentity Theft, Legal, Auto & Home and Pet InsuranceWindstream CIB Statement: Connecting people in a world of infinite possibilities.
