Description Accounts Payable Specialist -This is not a Remote position
ARC is looking for a Full-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to help us continue to provide the best employment experience for employees; and, continued excellent service for our customers.
Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring and executing timely and accurate payments for vendors.
These are the exciting things you get to do: Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs Great Plains experience a plus Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors Analyzing workflow processes Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures Processing due invoices for payments Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other chargesProcessing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accountsEnter invoices into the accounting systemReview for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to paymentPrint and obtain signatures on checksProcess extremely high volume of invoices daily (approximately 300)Perform account reconciliationsCode invoices with appropriate GL CodePrepare accrualsResearch vendor disputes and follow up on pending credit memosReconcile vendor statementsProvide internal and external customer servicePerform other duties as assigned
**You can expect to work some overtime during critical deadlines - specifically month-end close**
