Credit Balance Specialist – onsite in Melville NY

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a community medical facility in Melville, hiring a candidate with Credit Balance / Refunds experience. This role is strictly working with credit and refunds for medical claims – healthcare experience is required!

Overview:

Job type: Direct-Hire / Permanent

Location: 100% onsite

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8AM-5PM / Standard Business Hours

Position summary:

Working with insurance carriers and patients regarding credit balances

Research and perform EOB analysis to determine which party is owed a refund

Process refunds to overpaying party (insurance or patient)

Handle adjustments

Reconciling daily refunds, cash postings, and collections

Will assist with reviewing bad debt and cash posting

Minimum qualifications:

1 or more years of experience in medical credit balances or medical cash posting

Strong knowledge of revenue cycle and AR/collections

Familiarity with both private and public payers

Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality

Ideal candidate is analytical with strong research and organizational skills

Pay Details:

$50,000.00 to $52,000.00 per year
