The Receptionist / Concierge provides front desk and telephone/switchboard coverage for building in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner when dealing with residents, families, co-workers, and visitors.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent Previous reception and/or switchboard experience preferred Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written Possesses customer service and hospitality skills Strong typing and computer skills Must be efficient, organized, and able to multi-task Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Answers and directs all incoming calls to the appropriate person in a timely and courteous manner.
Knows how to page and reach people as needed.
Also, communicates with the Maintenance Department via walkie-talkie or cell phone for any requests throughout your shift.
2.
Provides excellent customer service and hospitality.
This includes greeting visitors with a friendly smile, assisting visitors with room directions, answering questions and inquiries, notifying departments of appointments/visitors, helping with tours, helping new admissions get to their room, and keeping the front desk/lobby area neat, safe and clean.
3.
Performs a variety of clerical functions including typing, copying, filing, tracking information as needed.
Assists with the routing of mail by stamping invoices and sending payments to the Accounting Department.

Responsible for sorting, organizing and delivering resident mail.
Also, handles mail to be forwarded or returned to sender.
Keeps up-to-date labels that are used for forwarding.
Records and delivers any incoming packages and medications and makes sure these items are delivered.
5.
Commits to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and Concordia policies and procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of resident/employee records and information.
Has a duty to report compliance concerns, significant legal risk questions, fraud, abuse, suspected or actual misconduct to a supervisor/manager or to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions SPEAKING
Ability to speak clearly and effectively with residents, families, coworkers and other groups of
customers.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedures, and operating instructions.
Ability to write routine reports, notes and correspondence.
HEARING
Hearing level or accommodations sufficient to use the telephone and to communicate with residents, families, coworkers and other groups of customers.
SEEING
Vision level or accommodations sufficient to perform functions to/from/within buildings, rooms, apartments, to complete/review required reports, notes, documentation and to use a computer.
Near/far acuity and depth perception are required to operate equipment.
TWISTING/BENDING
Climbing, balancing, stooping, bending and twisting, grasping and feeling, standing, sitting, walking for up to 90% day, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, lifting above the head.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or move up to 50 pounds independently.
REPETITIVE MOTIONS
Repetitive motions include writing, typing or entering information on the computer and hand motions that are used to work with the residents.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Temperature range from outside seasonal temperatures to inside temperatures of 65-80 degrees, varying if you work in laundry or kitchen.
