Responsibilities and Expectations: As a Buyer for IPS, you will be handling the day-to-day purchasing of materials and supplies in a timely manner as required. Additionally, in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate inventory levels, vendor pricing negotiations and the timeliness of products from vendors and customers products to the service center. Responsibilities may include:
Order parts for jobs promptly, as advised by service center departments.Collaborate with technicians to ensure the proper products and parts are ordered.Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.Resolve or assist in resolving all price and/or ordering discrepancies relative to purchased materials, incoming shipments, and outside invoices.Continually look for ways to improve the efficiency of the supply chain.Be professional especially when representing the company during phone or personal contact with outside vendors, customers or service providers, etc. Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process Systems.Qualifications and Competencies: High school diploma with industrial purchasing experience preferred.Strong computer skills required.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Strong and professional customer focus.Ability to work overtime as needed.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO).401k Employer Match.On-the-job training.Tuition Reimbursement Program.Medical, Dental and Vision plans.Safety shoe & glasses reimbursement.And more!IPS is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or veteran status.
