Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our medical and clinical operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small molecule therapeutics, psychiatry, and clinical trials, with a focus on anxiety and depression.
This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to effectively communicate and pitch to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Medical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all medical and clinical activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.Clinical Trials: Design, implement, and oversee clinical trials, ensuring they are conducted ethically and efficiently.
Analyze and interpret clinical data to guide decision-making.Psychiatric Expertise: Utilize expertise in psychiatry to develop and refine therapeutic strategies for anxiety and depression.
Stay current with advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.Small Molecule Therapeutics: Lead the development and optimization of small molecule therapies, from preclinical research through clinical development and commercialization.Client-Facing Activities: Represent the company in interactions with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Effectively pitch clinical programs and therapeutic strategies to secure partnerships and funding.Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring smooth execution of clinical programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing medical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with board certification in psychiatry.Extensive experience in clinical research and development, particularly in small molecule therapeutics.Proven track record in designing and conducting clinical trials for psychiatric disorders, including anxiety and depression.Strong client-facing and pitching skills, with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts to diverse audiences.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Contract: Start Date: AprilLength: 8 monthsHours: Up to 40 hours a weekCan be remote - Hybrid, Boston, MAW2 only
