Clinical Social Worker, Msw, Outpatient Brain Tumor

This is a 40-hour social work position following patients with Brain Tumors.
Social work provides social work support to patients and families with a high incidence of economic need, and social and medical complexity who are receiving ongoing oncological care or who have recently received a new diagnosis.This Brain Tumor Social Worker will be responsible for:Providing services that include a comprehensive psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, coordination of care, linkages to community services, and psycho-educationManagement of family issues including child protection and domestic violence, as well as ongoing grief and loss supportWorking closely with the entire inpatient and outpatient teams at BCH, along with outpatient services providers at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and may provide one on one support to patient and or caregiver, as well a group workTo qualify, you must have:A Master's degree in Social Work, LCSW required, LICSW is preferredStrong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalitiesSocial work experience within a medical environment, preferredSpanish language skills a plusCandidates with diverse backgrounds encouraged to apply New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus!This position is 100% onsiteBoston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, childcare and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
