Commercial Litigation Associate

Position Overview: We are seeking a junior to midlevel associate with 26 years of experience to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex litigation with a focus on highlevel insurance coverage litigation dispute analysis and coverage assessments. You will work closely with partners and clients gaining exposure to a variety of challenging cases and playing an integral role in managing litigation matters. Key Responsibilities Drafting case evaluations pleadings motions and other essential litigation documents Managing all phases of litigation from inception to trial and appeal as necessary Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda Handling discovery processes including document requests written discovery and depositions Collaborating with clients witnesses experts and opposing counsel Analyzing insurance coverage and extracontractual disputes and drafting coverage opinions and related documentation Skills and Experience 26 years of complex litigation experience Strong writing research and analytical skills Experience managing cases clients and adversarial processes Excellent verbal communication and oral advocacy skills Superior organizational and timemanagement capabilities An interest in emerging risks in insurance and environmental/products liability litigation is a plus Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience is a bonus Excellent interpersonal networking and client service skills Benefits Competitive salary and discretionary merit bonuses Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical dental vision) 401(k) retirement plan Shortterm and longterm disability insurance Life insurance coverage Tuition reimbursement Paid time off and holidays Additional benefits include voluntary insurance options (critical illness ID theft protection pet insurance) and more Application Process for Aspiring Commercial Litigation Associates We welcome qualified legal professionals enthusiastic about commercial litigation to apply.
