THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE Based in Tualatin, we oversee and construct new buildings in nearly all commercial market segments. Due to growth and demand for our services, we are in need of hiring for a Controller that possesses strong experience with construction.

Responsibilities: Oversees the performance, including quality control, of the accounting department. Processing bank check deposits every day and informing subcontractor AP specialists when to pay subcontractors. Verify signor obligations, such as determining whether the necessary permits and expense records are in place, as well as approvals for electronic fund transfers. Possesses a deep understanding of lien law and lien rights and serves as a resource for the accounting department with regard to any inquiries, decisions, or concerns that may occur. Monthly accounts reconciliations. Creation of monthly financial statements and a work-in-process schedule. Compiling profit sharing and 401(k) plans, sending them out, and corresponding with third-party administrators are all included. Examines and signs joint check agreements and credit applications. Examines completed bills for appropriate coding, supporting paperwork, and other required approvals. Follows up with Project Managers regarding approval of invoices. Serves as a backup for the weekly payroll, completing tasks such as checking that all employees' time has been recorded, checking timecards for accuracy and missing jobs, phases, or earnings codes, interacting, and posting. Verifies that the schedules and computations for sick leave and vacation accumulation are in place and operating correctly. changes as state legislation is changed. Access to timecards and security control. Oversee Viewpoint requests pertaining to accounting. At the conclusion of each project, reviews and approves the release and payment of retention. Serves as the company's credit card administrator, handling problems and issuing new cards. Weekly retirement withholding submittal. Annually preparing and submitting the census on profit-sharing. Every month, all payroll accounts and other companies' bank accounts are reconciled. Verifies the accuracy of the monthly billings and signs the corresponding lien waivers. Acts as backup support for employee benefits inquiries and issues. Preparation for the year-end audit, which includes balancing the different accounts on the balance sheet. Examine the cash positions of different businesses and monitor payment schedules. Coordinating holds and releases with insurance and sup AP. Update fixed rate tables on an annual basis.
