For information on Sysco's Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.com Job Profile Summary Responsible for achieving company inventory management goals for assigned Planners, Suppliers or Categories which includes but is not limited to exemplary customer service, PO (purchase order) accuracy (cost, quantity, dates), minimal spoilage and shrink, and managing inventory to
the lowest possible DSO (daily sales outstanding).
RESPONSIBILITIES Achieve planned inventory management Service Level, DSO, and Spoilage goals while maximizing operational efficienciesReview critical items and take necessary action to support end customer service levelReview daily out of stock report, communicate to sales as needed and expedite orders appropriatelyManage inbound POs by confirming for cost, quantity and dates, overdue orders, Overages, shorts, and damage, etcMaintain forecasting system parameters to manage demand changes customer events, business shifts, and seasonality changes as neededDemonstrate an intermediate level of proficiency of the Manhattan inventory planning tool DPR (demand planning system), to drive teams performance as indicated by DPR scorecards, dashboards and merchandising KPIsSupport returns to suppliers as requiredSupport product recalls as requiredManage purchase order costing and date accuracy through confirmations and alertsFollow supplier and corporate market conditions/trends to identify purchasing opportunitiesProvide basic demand planning support and field feedback to Corporate Planner for action and/or alignment QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diplomaBachelor's degree Experience 1+ year professional business experience or relevant Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience.Experience working within a retail, wholesale or distribution environmentStrong excel skillsInventory Management/Purchasing experience in distributor with 10,000+ SKUs Professional Skills Ability to resolve conflicts quickly, research issues, and follow up with timely communication to all key stakeholdersAbility to quickly learn to understand systems to answer basic inquires without escalatingAbility to work cross-functionally across the enterpriseStrong attention to details and follow upProactive attitude to highlight and address issues as they ariseAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and planning skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to understand/execute standard replenishment processes and best practices #LI-CYS4
