Junior Production Engineer

Our growing manufacturing client, located in Rensselaer, IN is seeking a technical and motivated person to join their team and develop into an engineering position. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Senior Production Engineer and support the manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to train on the job and become an expert in the filtration industry.

Engineering Support Technician Key Responsibilities: Draughting skills would be beneficial. i.e Solidworks Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment, processes, or product quality. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth transition of new products into production. Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols. Conduct root cause analysis for production-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Utilize data analysis tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions for process optimization. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to production processes. Engineering Support Technician Qualifications: Higher level professional technical qualification. i.e. Electrical, mechanical qualifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented, works with data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and quality control. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies would be an advantage. Experience with CAD/CAM software and data analysis tools will be an advantage. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Works well within a team environment, willing to accept guidance and direction.
