Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals. This individual is expected to efficiently manage a team supporting materials buying and planning activities for site CAR-T program including, purchase order placement, maintenance of promise delivery time, interpreting and analyzing of demand and usage requirements for materials, establish reordering and safety stock quantities, analyze order fulfillment and inventory trends to support adequate levels of materials, and collaboration with internal and external partners. The

Manager, CAR-T Site Materials Buyer & Planner

will be responsible to develop a materials purchasing strategy including, target weeks of supply, reconciliation of material, safety stock, reordering point quantities, forecast, supplier relationship management, and the enhancement of department Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and metrics. Leveraging state-of-the art cGMP facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support supply demand.

Shifts Available:

Monday - Friday, standard working hours

Responsibilities:
Lead the development and management of materials resource planning strategies to maintain target inventory levels to support cell therapy product manufacturing and development.
Leverage summit site material supply chain and operations in partnership with other functional areas to source materials in a timely and cost-effective manner, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stockouts. Execute robust supplier relationship management and maintain strong communication with critically suppliers.
Establish and track key metrics and performance indicators. Proactive manage supply positions, projections, supplier delivery and capacity risk, and identify cost savings opportunities.
Lead short and medium-term planning supply and demand analysis to identify future supplier and material requirement to support strategic objectives. Manage and utilize material resource planning system to generate material supply plan based on inventory policies and supply chain constraints. Enable new technology to accelerate and enhance CAR-T supply chain operations.
Act as a source of knowledge in areas of supply chain best practices and methodologies. Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of material availability. Lead and implement process improvements by maintaining open communication with all teams and fostering environment of cooperation in which to achieve shared goals.
Lead and mentor a team of Material Buyer Planners, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Develop a continuous learning organization that is positioned to support the current and future growth of the company. Provide coaching and mentoring of individuals in their technical development, change management, negotiations, communication, and cross-functional management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align material planning activities with business objectives, quality requirements, and inventory management.

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in applied science.
3+ years' relevant experience with materials planning, purchasing, or inventory management roles within cGMP operations.
Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of team development and collaboration.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
Flexible scheduling required.
APICS certification is a plus.
