The Physiatrist will work with a variety of pediatric patients in an outpatient setting and assist them in restoring optimal physical function to improve their quality of life.
Schedule is flexible (M-F) with no weekends and no call.
Providers will work a maximum of 20 hours per week and will see up to 15 patients a day on average.
ResponsibilitiesExamine patients that may need to undergo physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or spasticity managementDiagnose pain as a result of injury, disease or disabling conditionDetermine and implement appropriate treatment plans for patientsRecommend and undertake various medical procedures to treat pain, manage spasticity and improve physical functioningLead a team of medical professionals in order to optimize patient careMonitor ongoing progress and health of patients and changing treatment plans, as necessaryQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school requiredMust have completed an ACGME accredited PM&R residency programMust have completed a relevant fellowship training program in Pediatric PM&RMust hold a current board certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and RehabilitationMust possess or be eligible for MA state medical license.
