The Project Engineer is responsible for promoting and ensuring site and office safety and assisting the Project Manager and team members in the planning, coordinating, and administration of their assigned job to ensure the work is completed on time, within budget, while adhering to Webcor's quality standards.
Project Engineers are provided with hands-on experience and training and development opportunities to ensure they are on a clear path for growth and rotation within the organization.
Promotes and adheres to safety best practices on the jobsite.
Assists the Project Manager and team members in the planning, coordination, and administration of assigned projects.
This includes areas such as RFI's, submittals, contracts, change orders, purchasing, scheduling, closeout, and progress reports.
Reviews specs and identifies all required submittals; prepares submittal schedules and communicates scope changes.
Reviews all trade specific RFI's for potential, cost and/or schedule impact.
Reviews and updates project schedule with Project Manager and Superintendent.
Assists in tracking the weekly trade performance against project schedule, reviews delay log to ensure trade delays have been incorporated into schedule and provides team updates.
Plays an instrumental role in the development and coordination of the bid schedule, diligently distributing bid packages, promptly addressing bidder inquiries, and ensuring comprehensive bid proposal evaluation.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in performing thorough bid tabulations for accurate assessment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Basic knowledge of contract formats, surveying, scheduling, drawings, and construction sequencing.
Exposure to or ability to learn new programs such as MS Office, WinEst, OST, and Bluebeam.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
Hands-on experience preferred.
Working knowledge of RFI's and submittals.
Basic understanding and use of construction project tools.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Typically, two years construction experience; includes industry Internships.
Range of base pay is $91,000-$96,000.
Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.
