Summary: The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of products, equipment, goods, services, and vendor management for the company's US subsidiary. This role involves executing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and establishing strong relationships with profitable suppliers. The Purchasing Manager will report to the Operations Director and play a key role in purchasing both direct and indirect materials. Key Responsibilities: Review and process purchase orders. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies. Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms. Travel to vendor locations as needed. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear documentation of requirements. Forecast price and market trends to identify shifts in buyer-supplier dynamics. Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and pricing. Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and scenario planning. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in the supply chain. Identify and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers. Determine delivery schedules and manage quantities. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 2-4 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Agent, or Officer. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management. Strong negotiation and networking skills. Experience with vendor management software. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
