JOB SUMMARY We are looking for an engaging, driven and detail-oriented Senior Buyer who will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing all raw materials, goods, and services on behalf of the organization. In this position, you will be expected to ensure timely delivery of goods, research potential vendors, and meet prescribed goals and metrics. Your role will be critical in maintaining our inventory levels and ensuring that we are getting the best possible prices for the products, without sacrificing quality. Some travel to Fort Worth for knowledge transfer as we relocate our headquarters from Fort Worth to Spring, Texas.
Duties and responsibilities: Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems to internal stakeholders. Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.Own and deliver on KPI's relating to inventory levels, payment terms, savings, cash, & quality.Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors.Analyze market trends, pricing, and quality of products to ensure the best value for the organization.Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and launch new product lines.Ensure that a professional, ethical, and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligationsIdentify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
