Since its fruition Construx Co has provided Construction services for Educational Institutions, Medical, Retail, Restaurants and Office Build outs.

Job Summary
The Estimator would provide conceptual and preliminary estimating and hard-dollar bidding on assigned projects.
The Estimator provides or coordinates full estimating services as assigned on all types and sizes of work but, primarily, large, complex work with all types of delivery methods (i.e.
hard bid, negotiated, design/build, etc).
Responsibilities Contribute to the development and manage Construx Co's estimating process and procedures Participate in and attend pre bid meetings, bid strategy meeting and presentations Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications Prepare Invitation to Bid for Trade Contractor participation.
Evaluate offers to purchase by project requirements, additions, and costing changes.
Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.
Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.
Works closely with architects and other design professionals.
Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
Navigates and understands building codes.
Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required.
Monitors construction processes.
Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor and equipment Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame Assessing the risk levels associated with a project Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done Qualifications The ability to work under pressure to meet bid deadlines, budgets, and goals Strong analytical math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic Ability to read and navigate specifications and plans and develop cost estimates and leveling subcontractor bids and analyzing scope over/underlap.
Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and Prepare Invitation to Bid for Trade Contractor participation.
Personable Communication skills are valuable and expected, especially with Customer, and Trade Contractors.
Knowledge of the latest building codes Close attention to detail.
Must be able to effectively recognize issues with bid documents and discrepancies in contract documents.
A bachelor's degree in mathematics, architecture, or construction estimating At least 5 years of related experience in Connecticut is required Benefits/Perks Career advancement in a growing field Job Security Earning Potential Health Insurance 401k PTO
Compensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
