The Senior IT Trainer will have proven experience in delivering all aspects of learning programs for lawyers and staff at the Firm; this includes conducting needs assessments, developing and maintaining training materials, and determining the appropriate delivery methods, instructors and venues to improve adoption and usability of technology.
Responsibilities Work in close partnership with business owners to design, develop, and implement training solutions.
Understand the needs presented and design training solutions to meet those needs. Conduct group training sessions in both virtual and in-person settings. Conduct one-on-one training in both virtual and in-person settings.
In partnership with business owners develop training plans that provide "just in time" training. Assist with the creation of e-learning modules. Develop and maintain training solutions including, but not limited to, outlines, manuals, quick reference guides, quick start guides, videos, frequently asked questions, and tips. Develop and distribute Firm communications related to technology announcements and training.
Monitor help desk queues and respond to requests for training assistance. Assess information in the Help Desk call tracking system and target training to problem reduction.
Measure training effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement. Administer training classes and reporting using the Firm's Learning Management System. Keep current with adult training and learning industry trends, best practices, new technologies, and emerging innovations to see how they can be leveraged at Proskauer. On occasion, assist with the testing of lawyer-impacting applications that the team is knowledgeable about.
Qualifications Minimum of an Associates Degree with relevant work experience, Bachelor's Degree preferred; preferably with a background in adult learning or education. Ability to occasionally travel to Firm offices as required for large rollouts that cannot be done virtually. The suitable candidate must demonstrate 5+ years of related experience in training with a focus on blended learning, preferably in a legal or service-based organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Self-starter with the ability to adapt to and champion change. Possess a strong work ethic and drive to seek solutions. Strong background in adult learning and knowledge of industry trends and best practices. Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office, FileSite, or similar document management systems. Familiarity with developing eLearning using e-learning software, Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate a plus. Experience conducting systems training to audiences in instructor-led/classroom style, webinar, one-on-one, and remote environments. Innovative, creative, and flexible attitude and approach to training. Ability to build credibility with the Firm's lawyers and present effectively to senior leadership.
General computer knowledge and strong ability to learn new software systems.
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000.
The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
