Senior Software Engineer, Amazon Cognito, Amazon CognitoJob ID: 2819672 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Security is an important consideration for customers moving to the cloud, and all applications need identity solutions for end users. Amazon Cognito helps customers secure critical user data, including credentials of the users of their applications, providing easy-to-use authentication, authorization, and user management for web and mobile apps, either directly with a username and password or through a third-party identity provider such as Facebook, Amazon, or Google.
As more applications go digital, the demand for secure digital identities is growing. Existing digital applications are looking to improve their consumers' identity by moving to a cloud-based solution that is secure, scalable, standards-compliant, and reduces the need for hiring identity experts. Amazon Cognito is on a mission to reinvent user authentication by reducing user friction while increasing security. This will involve reimagining how authentication works and how it can become smarter in determining the security posture of each request an end user makes.
We are looking for leaders to help us tackle new challenges. As a Software Development Engineer, you will build features to enable AWS developers to rapidly and effortlessly create easy-to-use, frictionless sign-in and signup experiences for their customers, providing an internet-scale authentication and authorization solution for end users with strong, adaptive protection mechanisms.

You will work on complex problems, building high-quality, architecturally sound systems aligned with our business needs. In this role, you will collaborate with Principal and Senior Principal Engineers from across Amazon and own engineering challenges across multiple teams.
If this sounds like you, come join us in Seattle and help AWS write a new chapter in the consumer identity story for the industry.
