The Trade Development Specialist is responsible for the overall management and execution of promotional activities, to include large scale events, charity sponsorships, donations, e-marketing efforts, and support other marketing activities as required. This role will also provide market intelligence to the business planning team to identify revenue, market share and/or profit opportunities.
Defines and plans promotional activities with management and suppliers by managing events and promotional budgets, coordinating with all participating parties and ensuring legal compliance. Manage allocation of resources at events to align with budgets and timeframes. Direct and manager contractors or agencies for event design and resource allocation. Manage POS needs by working with Business Managers and suppliers to establish merchandising requirements for promotional activities. Ensures all state administrative laws are followed by filing all necessary paperwork. Coordinate all logistics and deliverables that pertain to promotional activity. Partner with Brandmuscle or inhouse graphics department to ensures all printed promotional materials are completed accurately and timely. Ensures compliance with company, supplier and state policies by training sales representatives and appropriate account staff on the content of the promotional activity. Deliver actionable market intelligence to business planning team utilizing all data sources and facilitate the production of chain and brand information to assigned sales teams. Provide performance assessments for key initiatives. Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required. Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in, including managing large scale events and promotions, finance, project management, operations, etc. Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines Analytic and Reporting skills Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone #L
